| Lieutenant is the standard rank for an experienced flyer in RFC 266. Promotion to Captain will occur when a flight becomes vacant and the member is agreed by the CO, RO, flight leaders and general opinion of the squadron to be the best Lieutenant for the job. | |||||||||
